Position: Supervisor Nursing - SICU - Full Time Night

Location: Mission Viejo, California

Job Description

Supervisor Nursing - SICU This is a Full Time, 3 Nights - 12-hour shift position.

 

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a 20-bed critical care unit specializing in neuro and trauma critical care management. 

 

We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and care for the most complex patients, such as neuro/TBI/Stroke/spinal cord injuries, complex surgeries, trauma, and medical critical care patients.

 

We are recognized as one of the best regional hospitals in 18 types of care by U.S. News & World Report, including orthopedic and gastroenterological care. Our hospital is also honored with awards for cardiac surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and excellence in women's services by Healthgrades and Newsweek. 

 

Under the direction of the nurse manager, Director, or Executive Director, the Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor provides an optimal environment and assists in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel to ensure high quality patient care.  Plans, organizes, controls and coordinates the department activities ensuring high quality patient care and efficient, cost-effective service.  Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License 

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

Upon hire: one professional certification in related area

2 years Recent clinical experience in specialty area.

Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master's Degree Nursing

Leadership experience.
