Compensation: $195,000 - $220,000 per year

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager for an elite client located in Greater Pittsburgh, PA Area. The Senior Systems Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing systems engineering and design, managing requirements, leading programs, and providing engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering tasks across complex defense programs.
• Develop and refine technical strategies, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Guide research and development efforts, fostering a culture of technical innovation.
• Supervise specialized teams across disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, compensation planning, and professional growth initiatives.
• Set clear technical direction, make key decisions on design, architecture, and technologies.
• Collaborate with program leaders, chief engineers, and external partners to analyze, allocate, and validate system requirements.
• Address risks, deliver technical solutions aligned with objectives, and achieve program milestones.
• Cultivate and lead a skilled, high-performing engineering team.

Qualifications

• Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills
• Successful track record of transitioning designs into production.
• Program Management expertise
• Experience working with Department of Defense (Preferred)
• Embedded Electronics Experience (Preferred)
• 8+ years Engineering Management Experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering, Master's degree preferred
• Must qualify for a DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is mandatory).
