IP ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - LIFE SCIENCES TECHNOLOGY TRANSACTIONS

Are you an experienced attorney passionate about working at the intersection of life sciences and cutting-edge technology?
 
 
Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an IP Associate Attorney to join their growing Technology Transactions Practice Group in San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley, New York, Seattle, or Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with biotech and pharmaceutical companies as they develop and commercialize groundbreaking therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, and digital health technologies. 
 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligibility to sit for/waive into the next bar exam.
  • 3–6 years of experience at a leading law firm handling licensing, collaboration, and commercial partnering transactions in the life sciences industry.
  • Strong background advising biotech and pharmaceutical clients on patent licensing, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and development agreements.
  • Experience structuring and negotiating transactions related to clinical trials, regulatory approvals (FDA), and commercialization of life sciences technologies.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with startups, venture-backed companies, and multinational pharmaceutical corporations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent biotech and pharmaceutical clients in complex licensing, collaboration, and strategic partnership agreements.
  • Negotiate and draft agreements for intellectual property licensing, joint development, commercialization, and regulatory matters.
  • Advise clients on FDA regulatory considerations, clinical trial agreements, and manufacturing/supply agreements.
  • Work closely with the corporate, M&A, and venture capital teams to support transactions involving life sciences companies.
  • Provide strategic guidance to founders, investors, and corporate leadership on structuring and executing technology transactions.
