We have partnered with a premier manufacturer in the Northern KY area to lead a search for a Demand Planner.

Demand Planner (job description)

The Demand Planner is responsible for the ultimate schedule of all assigned plant assets.  Also responsible for maintaining customer inventory levels based on customer supplied forecasts and historical shipment data for customers and items identified for analysis. 

Primary Responsibilities:    

·         Utilize customer forecasts, historical production and shipment data to develop production plan

·         Analyze performance data and demand patterns to optimize asset utilization and monitor capacity

·         Establish and maintain inventory levels and run sizes for assigned plant assets to ensure profitability and service.

·         Establish and maintain inventory levels for assigned customer accounts and items as requested.

·         Provide factory order quantities for production runs as needed for items that have managed inventory levels.

·         Establish line of communication with Customer Service on a regular cadence and provide feedback on demand and inventory information.

·         Conduct sessions with scheduler for assigned assets to ensure understanding of planning and Customer needs.

·         Establish line of communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment. Topics to be covered at a regular cadence include, but are not limited to demand patterns, forecast adjustments, and inventory status (including aging inventory).

·         Departmental KPI reporting as assigned.

·         Provide back-up coverage for all planning positions as required.

Must Have’s

·         Experience as a Demand Planner, Production Planner or Demand Analyst in a manufacturing environment.

·         Experience in Customer Forecasting

·         Analytical Mindset. Uses Data and Analytics in forecasting and inventory planning

·         Inventory Management experience

·         Comfortable with a customer-facing role and dealing professionally with customers and internal stakeholders

·         Degree preferred
