Surgical Tech (CST) - Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Surgical Tech (CST) - Instructor to join our team in Tucson. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the education and training of future surgical technologists by leading clinical lab instruction with a focus on excellence and innovation in healthcare education.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging clinical lab sessions for surgical technology students.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and skill enhancement.
Collaborate with academic staff to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and best practices.
Mentor students, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in surgical technology and integrate them into lab instruction.

Full-time Faculty Lab Instructor requirements include:

AA degree in anything
Graduated in a surgical tech program
36 months working in an Operating Room (OR) (not leadership unless it’s teaching)
Requires instructor experience as a surgical Tech as well as 36 months of CST experience.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized and accredited credentialing agency NCCT or BTSA

Onboarding is detailed and excellent: detailed Orientation then takes a class to teach and train instructors over the next week(s).
