Are you a seasoned tooling engineer with a knack for metal stamping and a love for solving complex problems? We're on the hunt for a Sr Tooling Engineer who can jump into the mix and make a real impact in our dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Operational Support: Dive into problem-solving mode by evaluating tool performance issues using root cause analysis. Develop and execute corrective action plans to boost productivity and quality.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Create and update preventive maintenance procedures to keep our tools in tip-top shape.
  • Tool Design & Updates: Keep our die drawings current using AutoCAD and Solidworks, ensuring all modifications are accurately reflected.
  • New Product Introduction: Be part of the action from quoting tools to installation and commissioning. Attend customer meetings, conduct feasibility reviews, and ensure our tools meet all technical requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee tool progress with vendors, perform run-offs, and handle tool delivery with precision.
  • Travel & Collaboration: Visit manufacturing plants when needed and collaborate with teams to secure the best tooling solutions.
  • Process Development: Establish standard processes for comprehensive work instructions and negotiate with vendors to land the best deals.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in a sheet metal stamping environment.
  • An authorized tool apprentice program completion or an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, along with a solid understanding of CPK.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A strong grasp of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work using a ladder.
  • Exposure to vibration and proximity to moving mechanical parts.
