This position is with a early-stage startup company that has developed a sustainable technology to produce a very common chemical that is used in wide variety industries. They are currently at bench scale and looking to scale-up to commercial demonstration scale. They are looking for someone with mechanical design and equipment skills to help them design and specify equipment for this next stage. Equipment includes pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gas handling equipment, tubing, and controls as well as the associated structural equipment for what will ultimately be a skid-mounted process technology. This person will be using OnShape (similar to CAD) to do the computerized design work and then working with vendors on custom pieces of equipment for the final product. They will also work with other engineers on the team to successfully achieve the final result.
