Polymer Process Engineer
Springfield, MA
Description:
This is a great opportunity in a beautiful upscale town outside of Springfield, MA near VT and NH (no tax) with nearby colleges. This 200-person site produces a variety of extruded polymer films for medical devices, electronic devices, passport covers, and for use in the automotive industry. You will provide day-to-day support, lead six sigma efforts, design and install new equipment and implement safety initiatives. This position is open due to the incumbent being promoted and reports to the Production Manager as do three other process engineers. This company has multiple US and overseas sites and is bonus eligible with a great vacation policy.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience in films, resins or polymers, extruded products, injection or blow molding, plastics, or paper.
- Previous experience Six Sigma is a major plus as well as CAD, Minitab, and SAP.
