About the Role:
This person will be based at a facility that operates within the Lyondell plant near Channelview, TX. There are 9 people at this particular unit, a manufacturing unit that makes an intermediate chemical used in jet/aviation fuel. This is a role for someone who likes technical work and who likes to wear a lot of hats (production support, optimization, safety, leadership) - transparently, there isn't much advancement potential here; the role reports to the plant manager and there is one other chemical engineer on-site. This role will serve as acting plant manager in a variety of situations and definitely have a leadership presence at the facility.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering required
- 10+ years of chemical manufacturing experience, working in PSM-regulated facilities, ideally in continuous processing
