Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Help monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Help with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures.
  • Document patient care activities and report any concerns to nursing staff.
  • Follow care plans as dictated by medical professionals and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely and effectively.
  • Basic understanding of patient care and safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
