As a RF Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Design & Development: Lead the design and development of electrical/electronic concepts, transforming them into finished, working designs based on specifications, customer requirements, and multidisciplinary inputs.
System Integration: Lead and support the assembly and integration of products/systems containing microwave components or subsystems, leveraging your extensive troubleshooting expertise.
RF System Synthesis: Synthesize and define RF System designs for complex electro-optical solutions.
Coordination: Coordinate system-level requirements internally and with subcontractors and suppliers.
Microwave Component Design: Design and develop microwave components, circuits, and subsystems for multidisciplinary product applications.
Test & Analysis: Develop test procedures, specify test equipment (including Vector Network Analyzers, Noise Figure Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers), and provide technical assistance during testing of prototype and production hardware.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute continuous improvement plans for the Electrical Engineering team.
Project Management: Develop estimates for project completion (engineering hours and schedule duration) and manage projects/processes with general supervision, communicating regularly with other engineering disciplines.
Design Review & Mentorship: Coordinate and lead design reviews, present complex internal and external design reviews, and provide technical supervision and mentorship to junior engineers.
Production Support: Support the production floor for system integration and test.
Documentation: Develop production documentation and manage it through the configuration management process (official release, redlines, Configuration Control Board meetings, etc.).
Design Analysis: Perform design analysis and establish circuit-level tests to validate designs, including thermal effects and tolerance contributions.
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship: Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; OR
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; OR
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
RF Design Experience: 2+ years of experience designing and developing microwave components, circuits, and subsystems for multidisciplinary product applications.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office products.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Mixed signal Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and development experience, preferably with Mentor Graphics tools.
