Key Responsibilities

🔧 Engineering & Programming

  • Engineer new parts from print to production, taking ownership of the entire process.

  • Develop efficient and accurate CNC programs for Swiss machines.

  • Select the appropriate tools and create tooling boxes for streamlined setups.

  • Maintain and manage setup sheets, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to maintain optimal machine performance.

🗣️ Customer Collaboration & Quality Assurance

  • Communicate effectively with customer engineers to understand requirements and specifications.

  • Partner with Quality Control to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.

  • Work closely with the Customer Service Manager to align production schedules with customer needs.

  • Offer recommendations to optimize the production schedule based on project requirements.

🔍 Setup, Troubleshooting, and Support

  • Set up new parts and manage first article acceptance when needed.

  • Diagnose and resolve machine alarms and technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Travel to customer locations for meetings and support, typically as day trips with occasional overnight stays.

📂 Documentation & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain all electronic files related to production, including CAD/CAM files, drawings, and verification documents.

  • Train new team members in machine setup and production processes.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality team to enhance processes and share best practices.

Qualifications

✔ Strong experience in Swiss CNC programming and engineering, including tooling selection and process optimization.✔ Proven ability to troubleshoot machine issues and implement effective solutions.✔ Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers.✔ Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality assurance processes.✔ Ability to train and mentor team members to elevate departmental skills.✔ Proficiency in managing electronic files associated with production.✔ Willingness to travel occasionally to meet customer requirements.
