Lead and Senior Lead Fire Protection Engineer (Remote)
 

Overview:

These remote opportunities allows you to live where you currently reside and travel to established and new clients nationwide (United States). There are multiple openings and qualification will be determined by the amount of experience and the type of skillset that you bring forward. These are with an employee-centric and fast-growing engineering firm that has large bonus potential which is dependent on the company’s profitability and your own personal performance. You’ll have the chance to further develop your skillset by becoming an expert/leader in this demanding niche in this industry and grow within the company. The travel is mostly overnight and estimated at 5-30%. You will be reporting to an assigned Project Manager.

 

Focus of the Role:

These positions focus on developing fire protection engineering solutions and initiatives that support various clients and industries. You’ll be evaluating client’s needs, developing solutions using computer fire modeling, researching and ensuring proper code and regulations, reviewing equipment sizing and selection, performing hazard analyses, and completing technical reporting. Additionally, you will use your expertise to oversee the work of junior team members and collaborate with other department teams and senior personnel. You do not need to have prior supervision experience, but strong traits and the desire to move into a leadership role in the future is ideal.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in engineering (preferably fire protection or mechanical) with 4+ years of relevant fire protection engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or potential to obtain one in near future with knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD design and BIM 360 software is ideal.
  • Experience with engineering consulting, hazard analysis, risk assessments, equipment sizing/P&IDs, and knowledge of NFPA is very favorable.
