Our client, a distinguished AmLaw 50 law firm with a top-ranked Global Finance practice, is seeking a talented Mortgage Loan Repurchase Facility/Warehouse Lending Associate Attorney to join their team in Charlotte.

 

The firm represents both lenders and borrowers in complex mortgage loan warehouse transactions, utilizing repurchase facility and loan-on-loan structures. Recognized in leading industry publications, including Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 US, the team is at the forefront of this space, advising major warehouse facility providers in the commercial real estate market.

 

Candidate Profile

    • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
    • Active Bar Admission in North Carolina.
    • 3-8 years of substantive experience in mortgage loan warehouse facility transactions.
    • Experience with repurchase facilities and warehouse lending.
    • Demonstrated experience preparing and negotiating term sheets and transaction documents for financing facilities.
    • Proven ability to serve as a key deal team member, managing critical aspects of transactions from term sheet through closing.
    • Prior experience with commercial or residential mortgage loan warehouse transactions preferred, however, general ABS warehouse experience will also be considered.
    • Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise lenders and borrowers on structuring, negotiating, and executing mortgage loan warehouse transactions, including repurchase facility and loan-on-loan structures.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents, including term sheets, repurchase agreements, and related financing documents.
  • Manage transaction processes, working collaboratively with deal teams from initial structuring through closing.
  • Provide strategic counsel on financing facilities and related regulatory considerations.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in mortgage loan repurchase facilities and warehouse lending to support clients with cutting-edge legal solutions.
