Senior Structural Engineer - Hartsville, SC

Must-Haves:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Project management experience is essential.
• Industrial structural engineering expertise is required.
• Must reside in Hartsville or be willing to relocate.
• Design experience is a prerequisite.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license is mandatory.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of heavy industrial facility construction practices and design applications for structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and in a hot, humid environment.
• Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.

Job Description: Reporting to the Associate Director, Engineering, the Senior Structural Engineer at our Award Winning Client will be responsible for the design and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and capital authorization applications. This role involves selecting materials, equipment, and services, as well as managing construction and equipment installation for engineering projects aimed at expanding, modifying, or constructing new facilities. Responsibilities also include managing project budgets, schedules, and conducting jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications. The Senior Structural Engineer will provide engineering guidance to staff engineers, technicians, and other team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs, specifications, and cost estimates for various civil/structural projects across our Award Winning Client's facilities, including facility and heavy industrial equipment foundation structural design.
• Provide project and onsite construction management to ensure project requirements are met.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of current industrial facility construction practices and a comprehensive understanding of structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood.
• Demonstrate highly skilled competencies in technical written communications, oral presentations, customer interactions, teamwork collaborations, and leadership.
