Job Title: Pharmacy Director

Type: Full-Time Onsite with Paid Relocation

As a key member of the pharmacy department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective management of pharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the compounding, dispensing, ordering, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Manage inventory control procedures and ensure adequate levels of drugs.
  • Direct the work of technical staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems promoting desirable patient outcomes through the use of appropriate, safe, and cost-effective drug therapies.
  • Monitor and provide drug therapies for patients of all age groups.
  • Provide staff development and education to colleagues, nursing staff, and medical personnel.
  • Coordinate Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities.
  • Participate in Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship initiatives.
  • Review clinical activities, contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department.
  • Assist in training and orienting new employees and pharmacy technicians.
  • Assist with patient charging and inventory control activities under the supervision of the Director.
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation activities.
  • Perform other duties related to the practice of pharmacy.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy Program (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred).
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adaptability to a stressful environment.
  • Active Pharmacist licensure in the State of West Virginia.
