POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing while ensuring that personnel are following company processes and adhering to company policies. This leader will manage a production team of thirty associates across one shift while ensuring delivery, performance, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leadership and driving a culture of Continuous Improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the manufacture of products while ensuring delivery, performance, and quality standards are consistently met
• Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, with collaboration with other team members
• Works collaboratively with team members to drive continuous improvement of production processes to eliminate waste and increase first-pass yield
• Trains manufacturing employees to ensure they have the skills to follow company processes
• Oversees daily production schedules and work assignments for assigned areas of production; Maintains production reports as required
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Works with immediate supervisor and HR to reward and discipline employees as needed in accordance with company policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned, including continuous improvement projects that are assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as mechanical or industrial engineering is preferred
• 3 - 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environment with progressive responsibilities is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, including Excel, is required
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills
• Ability to motivate and lead other associates to accomplish goals
