POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a President to join an industrial manufacturer with strong Lean deployment and business development experience. They will provide executive leadership and strategic direction to the organization, ensuring the successful execution of daily operations and long-term business objectives. This role acts as a key decision-maker, bridging the gap between parent company Board of Directors/CEO and operational staff to drive profitability and sustainable growth. They will be key in growing the business organically and inorganically over the next few years.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead the development of 3–5-year strategies, aligning the company’s mission with market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies
· Formulating and managing the annual operating budget and business plans
· Establishing and monitoring KPIs and departmental goals to ensure fiscal and operational health
· Conducting regular reviews of financial statements, sales reports, and production metrics to implement strategies as needed to meet budgeted profitability targets
- Identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, including product line development and rationalization, strategic alliances, and potential mergers and acquisitions
- Evaluating acquisition targets including due diligence and integration plans
- Building and maintaining high-level relationships with key clients, vendors, and industry partners to secure major contracts and enhance brand presence
- Monitoring global market conditions and competitor activity to adjust the value proposition of the company’s equipment offerings
· Overseeing the development of strategic marketing and public relations programs that promote the company’s products and technical expertise
· Ensuring customer service standards drive high retention rates and provide a feedback loop for product improvement
· Directing the product strategy to ensure engineering solutions meet specific client needs and anticipate future industry requirements
· Ensuring company applications engineering core competencies align with customer opportunities to ensure company success and profitability while minimizing risks
· Overseeing the entire manufacturing process, emphasizing safety, quality control, and Lean principles to optimize throughput and on-time performance
· Managing capital expenditures for facility upgrades to improve and reduce cycle times
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
· Minimum of 10 years senior leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
· Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L‑related responsibilities
· Proven experience utilizing & deploying Lean tools (Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, 80/20, etc.)
· Experience with ensuring engineering competency, manufacturing operations (machining, welding, fabrication, and product assembly), and supply chain/logistics
· A people-first, hands‑on leader with the ability to engage employees at all levels
· Excellent communication, coaching, and team‑building skills
