TRAVEL: 70%

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Excellence and Lean Business System to drive Lean strategy, deployment, and results across the Americas region. This role will drive commercial excellence and Lean deployment in sales, marketing, and other commercial functions. They will be the authority for the Company’s Business System across the Americas, driving regional continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cultural transformation aligned with corporate strategy.

 

As a trusted partner to the C-suite and regional leadership, the VP of Commercial Excellence/Lean leads large-scale transformation initiatives, builds organizational capability, and ensures disciplined execution of Lean principles to deliver measurable business outcomes. This leader acts as the engine of continuous improvement across the region, embedding Lean thinking into strategy, governance, and daily commercial operations.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·   Leading the Lean and Continuous Improvement strategy in the Americas, driving operational performance, standardization, and measurable business results across the region in alignment with global priorities

·     Partnering with and advising the President of the Americas on operational priorities, organizational capability, transformation efforts, and key business challenges

·    Leading high-impact Lean transformation and problem-solving initiatives to improve quality, cost, delivery, and operational performance across the region

·   Partnering with regional and functional leaders to align priorities, remove barriers, and drive accountability for execution and results

·     Representing the Americas in global Lean forums, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment across regions

·       Building Lean capability by coaching leaders, developing talent, embedding continuous improvement tools, and scaling best practices across the commercial organization

·       Driving standardization, operational discipline, and sustainable improvements through Lean thinking, daily management, and structured problem solving

·    Balancing strategic leadership with hands-on support for critical operational and transformation priorities

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Quality, Engineering, or a related field

·   Minimum 7 years of experience driving Continuous Improvement in commercial functions (sales, marketing, etc.)

·       Prior P&L leadership experience required

·   Experience leading business transformation projects; proven track record of delivering tangible, recognized business and customer results

·    Demonstrated leadership capability, strong business acumen, ability to align change management approach to business needs

·   Experience in leading, training, and coaching Lean methods and tools including 80/20, Lean Leadership, Daily Management, KPI Leadership, Standard Work, Gemba Walks, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Transactional Process Improvements, Kanban/replenishment systems, Structured Problem Solving, VOC, Customer Segmentation, Strategic Pricing, Sales Funnel Management, Value Selling, etc.

·       Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to establish rapport with leaders, customers and peers

·     Proven analytical and systems-thinking: design and deployment of end-to-end solutions that exceed requirements

·       Excellent facilitation and strategic thinking skills

·       Demonstrated capability in team building, coaching, and effective collaboration
