Lead Teacher – Learning Recovery (Grant-Funded Program)

Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Full-Time (Temporary, Grant-Funded)
Pay: $71,552 - $95,380.75

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Teacher to oversee and coordinate all instructional interventions and supports funded through the Learning Recovery Emergency Block Grant (LREBG). This is a non-student-facing leadership position focused on program oversight, staff development, and data-driven strategies to close learning gaps for targeted student groups. The role ensures alignment with the LREBG Plan, Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), and state accountability standards.

Note: This position is temporary and contingent upon continued grant funding.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Coordination

  • Oversee implementation of all instructional interventions under the LREBG plan.

  • Develop and manage program schedules to ensure timely delivery of services.

  • Supervise instructional assistants delivering interventions in foundational literacy and math.

  • Ensure effective allocation of staffing, materials, and resources.

  • Align grant strategies with LCAP goals and schoolwide improvement initiatives.

Instructional Planning & Support

  • Design and guide evidence-based intervention strategies for targeted student groups using assessment data.

  • Provide coaching and professional development for staff on instructional best practices.

  • Manage procurement and distribution of program materials and resources.

Data Monitoring & Accountability

  • Establish systems for continuous data collection and analysis to measure program impact.

  • Monitor student progress using assessments such as MobyMax and other performance indicators.

  • Prepare compliance documentation, expenditure tracking, and required grant reports.

Professional Development & Collaboration

  • Lead targeted professional development aligned with grant objectives.

  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff to integrate interventions with core instruction.

  • Represent the program in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with grant requirements and applicable state regulations.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all program activities and outcomes.

  • Provide regular updates to administration and governing bodies as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge Of:

  • LREBG and California Education Code provisions.

  • Academic intervention design and delivery.

  • Strategies for supporting English Learners, students with disabilities, and underserved populations.

  • Data collection and progress-monitoring tools (e.g., MobyMax).

  • Professional development planning and facilitation.

Ability To:

  • Lead and coordinate complex educational initiatives.

  • Analyze data to drive instructional improvements.

  • Coach instructional staff effectively.

  • Communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred).

  • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

  • Proven experience in instructional leadership, intervention coordination, or program management.

  • Strong background in data-driven instruction and professional learning facilitation.

Additional Requirements

  • DOJ and FBI background clearance.

  • Negative TB test.
