Position Summary

The Edison, part of Benson’s Restaurant Group, is seeking an outgoing, dependable and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team.

The ideal candidate enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, works effectively in a fast-paced environment and can balance exceptional service with accuracy, efficiency and responsible alcohol service.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to remain composed and personable during high-volume shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Build genuine connections with guests and help create a memorable dining experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and menu offerings.
• Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through the POS system.
• Verify identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements.
• Maintain an organized, clean and properly stocked bar throughout the shift.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers and other bar ingredients before service.
• Monitor guest needs and respond quickly to requests.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, managers and kitchen staff.
• Remain calm and professional during high-volume periods.
• Help teammates when another area becomes busy or understaffed.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate cash and credit-card transactions.
• Complete opening, closing, cleaning and side-work responsibilities.
• Follow all Benson’s Restaurant Group safety, sanitation and hospitality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous bartending or restaurant-service experience preferred.
• Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate confidently with many different types of guests.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to stay composed when the bar becomes busy.

• Comfortable receiving feedback and coaching.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and spirits preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to responsible alcohol service.
