Litigation & Trial Practice Counsel (Attorney) - Food & Beverage

Location: Washington, D.C.

 

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm with a nationally recognized Food & Beverage Industry team, is seeking an experienced Counsel to join their Washington, D.C. office. This role focuses on FDA regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, specifically within the food industry.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Washington, D.C.
  • Significant experience in FDA regulatory compliance and enforcement, with a strong background in food industry regulations.
  • Current or recent experience serving at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is required.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and regulatory agencies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise food industry clients on FDA regulatory compliance, including product labeling, safety, and marketing regulations.
  • Represent clients in enforcement actions and regulatory matters before the FDA and other government agencies.
  • Provide strategic guidance on risk management, compliance programs, and internal investigations.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting the food and beverage sector and counsel clients on emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to address legal challenges at the intersection of food law, public policy, and litigation.
