This is a new role, created as a result of recent reorganization efforts - and the purpose of the position is to being technical leadership to a team of about a dozen people who all support large capital efforts across three facilities within this company. This company is looking for a subject-matter-expert (SME) type person who likes to teach, mentor and lead others. For the hiring manager, it doesn't matter whether you have an expertise in instrumentation or in electrical engineering/power distribution, as long as you have a solid background in I&E design, you have worked on larger capital projects ($2.5MM+), and you are bringing a knowledge of "what good looks like".

Minimum Requirements:
B.S. degree preferred, but not required
8+ years of industry experience - ideally out of chemical processing, but also would consider backgrounds in EPC, Licensing companies, etc
Must have SME-level experience in either Instrumentation or electrical/power distribution
Must possess excellent computer skills; they have recently switched to a database-driven design system
Travel will be up to 25% for this role and is typically 1-2 nights at a time, no long trips outside of very occasional International trips
