About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team in the automotive sector. In this role, you will perform complex mechanical and electrical maintenance work, ensuring the optimal operation of our manufacturing equipment and plant facilities. This position requires a proactive problem solver capable of long-term repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose & Repair: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions. Determine repair procedures that not only fix the immediate issue but prevent reoccurrence.
- PLC Troubleshooting: Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software to troubleshoot equipment faults efficiently.
- Robotics Maintenance: Modify positions and diagnose issues on ABB robots (Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700).
- Equipment Management: Install, align, and move new and existing manufacturing equipment.
- Fabrication: Perform gas and electric welding operations and operate machine shop equipment with a high degree of accuracy.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute necessary preventive and proactive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate machine repair records and ensure the work area remains clean and orderly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of related experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with Allen Bradley systems, hydraulics, robotics, and welding.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs and electrical/hydraulic schematics is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with ABB robotics.
- Education: Completion of technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college coursework) is required. You must be able to apply these technical principles in a practical setting.
