We are actively searching for a dedicated and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of our safety programs, aiming to foster a robust safety culture across all operational levels. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that our safety initiatives are aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices, thereby safeguarding our workforce and the environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Program Development: Create, execute, and manage effective EH&S programs tailored to organizational goals and industry standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee full compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. Maintain accurate and timely compliance documentation.
- Risk Mitigation: Perform comprehensive risk assessments, facility audits, and job hazard analyses. Develop and implement strategic control measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Training and Education: Lead and develop extensive EH&S training programs to enhance employee and management safety knowledge and practices.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and environmental issues, utilizing root-cause analysis to develop corrective and preventive actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in EH&S management within complex operational settings.
- Strongly preferred: Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
- Proven ability to reduce Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) and implement forward-thinking safety measures.
