TITLE:  Design Engineer/Fire Suppression

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00            Depending on Experience

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:  4-year degree preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:

 This position will be a fire protection designer to design special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications,
• Work with contractors in the proper installation and operation of systems.
• Attend work sites to ensure proper system design and installation.
• Attend manufacturer training classes and other continued education training.
• Update existing drawings.
• Assist with system inspection and maintenance (if needed).
• Assist in system startups and commissioning (if needed).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry is required
• Previous experience as a Design Engineer
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
• Knowledge and efficient use of 3D design software.
• Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification.
