NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are building the machines that power the next era of progress. We represent the consolidation of eight years of technology development across multiple divisions — bringing Physical AI to the industries that move civilization forward.
We are looking for a Robotics Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join the Transport team and help scale device bring-up and testing infrastructure for autonomous vehicles. You'll be part of a new but well-resourced transportation division, leveraging proven technology from Pronto's autonomous mining platform to build out testing processes for vehicle integration. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how new vehicles are onboarded, tested, and validated within a modular, OEM-agnostic autonomous stack. The team is engineering-led, fast-moving, and deploying real technology into production environments, not running simulations in a lab.
Why you should join:
We build Physical AI — real-world robots for industries that move civilization forward. Their transport division is scaling autonomous vehicle integration into existing OEM ecosystems rather than replacing them. This role is focused on device bring-up for autonomous transport.
What will you be doing?
- Creating processes and writing software for flashing, bring-up, and testing new vehicle devices across multiple OEMs (Toyota, Hyundai, Hitachi, etc.)
- Debugging complex software-to-hardware integration issues alongside technicians, electrical engineers, and other robotics engineers
- Building hardware-in-the-loop tests for actuation, burn-in, and bench testing
- Developing tools and test frameworks for technicians—including visualization, test deployment, result tracking, and test execution
- Assessing and building scalable processes to bring new devices live and operating within the company's autonomous software stack
Tech stack:
C++, Python, Linux, Sensors, LiDAR, Actuators, Electrical Systems, Network Communication Systems, Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing
Work experience:
Experience testing physical autonomous robotic systems (not software QA — must have hands-on experience with actual robots/vehicles, debugging hardware/software integration)
5 - 7 years of experience in robotics testing engineering, with C++, Python, and Linux
Background in autonomous transportation or vehicles (e.g., Waymo, Ford, Toyota, GM, Nuro)
Hard skills
Proficiency in C++, Python, and Linux systems
Hands-on experience with autonomy stack components (sensors, LiDAR, actuators, networking/comms, electrical systems)
Experience building hardware-in-the-loop tests or bench testing frameworks
