Position Summary
Our client is a leading provider of work truck manufacturing and up fitting services, seeks a seasoned executive to join its leadership team as Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing. This role directs operations across six manufacturing facilities and holds full accountability for productivity, quality, safety, and profitability enterprise wide.
The Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing will lead the disciplines that drive operational performance, including advanced manufacturing, Lean and continuous improvement, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs. You will serve national fleet customers such as Penske, Ryder, UPS, and FedEx, ensuring that every facility meets rigorous standards for delivery, cost, and reliability.
We are seeking a proven operator who has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility and is prepared to shoulder greater accountability as the business grows. Expanding market share while consistently meeting customer expectations requires disciplined execution and a leader capable of translating strategy into measurable results.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Direct multi-site operations across all six manufacturing facilities, recommending and implementing improvements to manufacturing, safety, quality, and materials operations.
- Assume ownership of the continued Lean transformation across the entire organization.
- Lead the application of advanced manufacturing methods and technology to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality.
- Hold P&L ownership for operations, driving profitability, productivity, and cost discipline throughout the company.
- Lead strategic planning and execution that enhances profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency company wide.
- Direct the team responsible for executing operational strategy for acquisition targets, including integration and value capture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational and commercial challenges across the enterprise.
- Develop operating models and business metrics in coordination with functional leaders to identify key risks and meaningful opportunities for improvement.
Must Have Qualifications
- A proven record of driving best practices across multiple locations and business units to improve productivity and profitability through leading edge management practices, innovative use of technology, and effective cost reduction.
- Significant experience in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Toyota Production System (TPS), Danaher Business System, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
- A minimum of 10 years as a senior executive in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement roles.
- 15 to 20 years of overall business experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, in positions of increasing responsibility.
- A well-rounded functional background spanning manufacturing operations, Lean, continuous improvement, and direct P&L responsibility of at least $750M.
- Hands-on experience leading in a multi-site, multi-business environment.
- Willingness to travel 35 to 50 percent.
