Join our dynamic team as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Program Lead, where you will spearhead innovative automation projects from inception to execution across diverse manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role involves identifying automation opportunities, conceptualizing solutions, and overseeing the implementation to enhance manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive automation projects from concept to commissioning, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and execution.
  • Implement process improvements focusing on safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput enhancement through automation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and refine business processes that support manufacturing transformation.
  • Evaluate and select automation vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational standards.
  • Develop and uphold equipment specifications, manage procurement, and conduct thorough design reviews and testing.
  • Facilitate the development of standardized work instructions and control plans to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Conduct capability analyses and value stream mapping to identify opportunities for waste elimination and process optimization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, assessing their applicability to advance the organization's manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • BSME, BSIE, BSEE, or equivalent degree, with a minimum of ten years in manufacturing engineering, including five years in program or project leadership.
  • Proven track record in leading automation projects in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
  • Optional skills: 3D CAD competency (SolidWorks preferred), programming knowledge (Visual Basic, Ladder Logic).

Additional Information:

  • Significant travel required (up to 75%). Must possess a valid driver's license and passport.
  • Preferred certifications: PE, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or relevant engineering credentials.
