Job Title: Corporate Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)


Location: Dallas, TX


Travel Requirement: Up to 25%

Compensation:  $175,000 - 200,000

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to lead and oversee our organization’s EH&S programs across all operations. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while driving a culture of sustainability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of developing and executing corporate-wide EH&S strategies, managing teams, and delivering measurable results in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee corporate-wide EH&S programs, policies, and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable US federal and state regulations, as well as alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to EH&S teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in the US, with a working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian regulatory programs (preferred).
  • Lead sustainability efforts, including data aggregation, sustainability reporting, and verification processes.
  • Manage and resolve legacy soil and groundwater remediation issues, including working with consultants and managing financial reserves.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential EH&S risks.
  • Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership on EH&S performance, initiatives, and compliance status.
  • Lead and mentor a team of EH&S professionals, ensuring their development and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee project management efforts related to EH&S initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a corporate EH&S leadership role.
  • Demonstrated career progression leading to corporate-level responsibility in EH&S.
  • Extensive knowledge of US federal and state EH&S regulations, with preferred knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental programs.
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, with a deep understanding of its unique EH&S challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in sustainability reporting, compliance data aggregation, and verification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and financial reserves related to environmental remediation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Mexican and Canadian environmental regulatory programs.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives and reporting frameworks.
