POSITION SUMMARY:
Job Summary:
Responsible for being a qualified and/or licensed engineer for inspection of buildings
post-catastrophe to determine cause and extent of structural damage and provide general repair. Manage field engineers, provide hands-on training,
coordinating resources, recruiting and overseeing all technical and quality control issues related to company engineer reports and inspections by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Performs property damage assessments and issue report of findings.
2. Responsible for peer reviews of engineering reports and ability to identify and correct
issues.
3. Mentors and trains a team of field engineers.
4. Attends industry-related conferences and seminars.
5. Recruits new field engineers where needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 10 or more employees/contractors in the Field Engineers Department.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
• ABET accredited engineering degree - civil and/or structural, or engineering degree with structural work experience
• Two to four years of construction management or forensic engineering
Certificates and Licenses:
• Professional Engineer license (P.E.)
• NCEES Record
• Valid driver's license

• Multi-tasking and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Management and leadership skills and ability to mentor young engineers
