The associate will develop and maintain relationships with law firms and business partners through participation in contracting, onboarding, and stewardship meetings. The ideal candidate must demonstrate effective communication & presentation skills and the ability to analyze metrics and identify trends to support productive legal vendor partnerships.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with external law firms and business partners to achieve optimal litigation outcomes.  

  • Support the use of data analytics to drive law firm performance, litigation strategy and legal billing savings.   

  • Actively inform and promote best practices and use of performance analytics within external law firm network. 

  • Drive our claim’s diversity initiatives to external law firm network to increase the use of diverse timekeepers on company matters.  

  • Assist with audits of attorney/firm billing history.  

  • Participate in the onboarding process for legal vendors. 

  • Support the stewardship and legal vendor renewal process to ensure legal vendor adherence to our guidelines and expectations. 

  • Assist with the execution of internal/external customer training on legal vendor systems and standard operating procedures. 

  • Participate in the preparation of legal vendor performance updates for key partners, senior leaders, and associates. 

  • Maintain legal vendor database. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

Certifications:
  • Claims designations and/or certifications, paralegal certificate(s), a plus 

Work Experience:

  • Experience with claims account management, general commercial insurance account management experience, and/or 

  • Associate level claims or insurance experience, and/or  

  • Associate level/paralegal law firm experience,  

  • or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The base salary range for the Legal Account Manager position is $50k - $80k/year with 20% bonus potential.
