General Summary and Purpose:

The Assembly Technician is a core team member of the Operations Department. The Assembly Technician is responsible for producing basic components by assembling parts and subassemblies using small tools, fixtures and testing instruments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Produces basic components by assembling parts and subassemblies using small tools and fixtures, hands, and drawings or blueprints when necessary.

·         Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions (written and verbal).

·         Adheres to the QMS standards & understands the quality policy

·         Tests the quality of work using prescribed methods including measuring devices.

·         Notifies Production Manager when Quality Issues arise.

·         Completes any necessary work records accurately and in a timely manner.

·         Works with the rest of the team to maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to Production Manager

 

Job Requirements:

·         Must be able to complete a supervised training program

·         Must be able to understand all pertinent work instructions and procedures as assigned

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Must have strong general mechanical skills.

·         Must be detail-oriented to maintain a high level of quality

·         Maintain a safe working environment.

·         Ability to contribute within a team environment
