North Carolina Unit Manager OB, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery

POSITION SUMMARY:   

The Unit Manager is a nurse leader who performs the primary functions of assessing, planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating patient care on a 24-hour basis for his/her designated unit(s).  He/She manages all personnel, supplies and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care.  He/She keeps abreast of techniques, skills, current practices and regulations appropriate to age of patients served.  43 FTE's.  Over L&D and PostPartum.  

Salary: - $116k (midpoint), up to  $120k max, 10% bonus + relocation

-Management experience required.

 EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

 Minimum Required: 

• BSN required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina (or eligible
• BLS certification required; recertification required bi-annually.                                      
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN in a clinical setting. 
• Knowledge of, and ability to, develop strategies to apply current theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care. 
•  Knowledge of current leadership, management and quality improvement concepts.
• Ability to perform and or lead program development and implementation.
• Strong quality service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Ability to deal with the public
