OB experience required. 3+ years of nursing management. •BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE certifiedHours and compensation potential:•Position is full time.•Salary range is $36hr-$50hr dependent on years of experience. •A full benefit package is offered and a relocation/sign-on bonus is possible. What you’ll be doing:•Manages, supervises, and coordinates the operations of the Family Birth Suites. Provides nursing services to women during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. •Provides leadership by working cooperately with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards. •Adheres to Simply the Best Standards of Performance.•Selects, schedules, assigns staff, adjusting hours and shifts as necessary.•Coordinates the orientation new staff. Assures that training and education needs of staff are met.•Coordinates unit activities and the work assignments of staff members.•Evaluates activities of unit to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.•Develops, implements, and evaluates unit policies, goals, and objectives.•Participates in the development and modifications of unit programs.•Participates in infection control, utilization review, and quality assessment activities and analysis.•Interprets and enforces department and institution policies. Inspects and monitors for cleanliness.•Investigates and resolves complaints or refers unusual problems to a superior.•Arranges and organizes daily and monthly department schedules.•Engages in studies and investigations related to improving delivery of services.•Conducts staff meetings to discuss new or modified procedures, policies, procedures within departments of area of responsibilities, at least 10 times annually, providing documentation of minutes within 2 weeks.•Assists areas of responsibility in preparation and maintenance of State and Federal surveys.•Assures compliance with regulatory guidelines appropriate for areas of responsibility. (i.e., OSHA, State, Federal, etc.)•Serves on various hospital committees.Additional info:Facility is acute care hospital under 50 beds and not for profit. The current manager is retiring in the spring. Will supervise 10 people (9 are Full-time). 6 Family Birthing Suites.
