Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking an experienced Career Attorney to join their cutting-edge Litigation Business team. This is a non-partnership track position available in multiple locations that blends high-level litigation work with practice management and strategic support responsibilities. It’s an ideal opportunity for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and wants to continue engaging substantively with litigation matters while playing a key role in the operational success of a high-performing team.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction (CA, DC, IL, MA, NY, OR, TX, WA, WV).

  • 7+ years of substantive litigation experience at a major law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting briefs, motions, and discovery documents, as well as handling e-discovery and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Experience managing long-term legal projects, tracking trial calendars, and overseeing associate staffing and development.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • A proactive, client-centered mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in complex litigation matters, including preparing for and supporting trial teams.

  • Oversee the litigation group’s trial calendar and coordinate the staffing of associates across matters.

  • Draft and manage internal and client-facing communications, including newsletters, pitches, and presentations.

  • Lead and manage long-term projects aligned with the practice group’s strategic goals.

  • Facilitate the onboarding and integration of new attorneys into the litigation group.

  • Collaborate with practice managers, group leaders, and innovation teams to optimize staffing and resource allocation.

  • Promote team efficiency and knowledge sharing through ongoing process improvement and strategic support initiatives.
