Non-automotive, international manufacturer is seeking an HR Manager to develop and improve their human resources policies and procedures.  Daily, you will report to the plant manager, be a team of one, and handle all HR functions of the site.  Daily, you will be responsible for the following human resources functions:
 
  • Develop (from scratch) and improve the strategic plan of human resources for the facility 
  • Create and facilitate the recruitment plan for the plant, including conducting hourly and salary hiring and interviewing 
  • Make improvements to the company handbook 
  • Create attendance policies, review programs and compensation and benefits strategy 
  • Oversee Bureau of Worker's Compensation compliance as well as unemployment 
  • Communicate at executive, manager and staff levels to resolve HR inquiries and concerns 
  • Partner with operations on HR and safety-related projects and communication
  • Coach and mentor staff on HR-related concerns 
  • Establish and improve HR practices based on data and analysis
  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations and operate in a hands-on capacity  
  • Manage multiple HR projects at a time
  • Lead and conduct employee relations, including needed investigations and resolving employee conflict 
  • Complete daily HR functions as needed to support the team 
  • Support administrative tasks for the plant level related to ISO certifications, payroll, KPIs, etc.  
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
 
This is a great opportunity to create and improve HR systems at a growing company!  This is a hands-on management position; candidates must be willing to perform frontline HR functions.  Candidates should be polished and professional while communicating at all levels.  Individuals should feel comfortable on the manufacturing floor on a daily basis.  The qualified candidate must be willing to spend up to 20% of their time on the plant floor.  REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing HR Manager:1. A bachelor's degree is highly preferred2. At least 3-5 years in a similar lead manufacturing human resources position
3. Experience developing, creating and improving human resource processes and systems 
4. Experience with unemployment and BWC 
5. Experience recruiting hourly and salary staff 
6. Experience creating and improving employee handbooks
7. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Teams Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Supervision of others 2. Payroll processing 
3. International business experience 
4. HR certifications 
5. Plant/HR system start-up experience
