Packaging Program Director position is a strategic role within our clients partnerships and will be responsible for delivering the Packaging Productivity and BCP program for their Strategic Client in Food and Dairy industry. Apart from delivering the In Year Savings program, the role would also entail developing a 2-3 year pipeline and help establish the Packfora our clients organization in the US. This person would also be fully empowered to recruit & manage a team of packaging engineers & program manager in the US to deliver the ambitious program along with the support coming in from the offshore team based out of Asia.
Location: Denver Colorado or White Plains, New York
• Work closely with the Client team and Deliver the In Year identified Productivity program on time in full.• Work along with the cross functional client team and offshore team to develop the 2-3 year productivity Pipeline targeting the full Spend Profile• Integrate the current Project Pipeline for Productivity and BCP and work out the prioritization using one Team One program Philosophy• Recruit and Manage the Packaging Engineer and Program Management Team and work seamlessly with the Offshore team based in Asia to resource and deliver the Program.• Create the right Project Governance and drive the decisions & escalations through Steercom meetings.• Ensure the Program health analytics are published and well supported through the Program Manager.• Support the team on technical and delivery challenges and resolve bottlenecks.• Establish a good working relationship with intra-company Cross Functional teams and anchor or our Client as an integral part of these teams.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, Client business units, plants, co-manufacturers and other sources of applicable technologies.• Participates in working sessions & cross functional project team meetings with the client.• Help Establish our client's credentials in the US through participation in external forums, academia and Prospective clients’ meetings.• Dual Reporting to Client Head of Packaging and VP – Brand Pack Solutions PSP
Qualifications Bachelor's degree minimum, Master degree in Sciences or Engineering ideal(Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical or related engineering science)
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a packaging engineering field (preferably in food andbeverage)• Experience in Paper and Paperboard based pack formats• Experience in Managing Flexible packaging projects• Experience in Rigids packaging handling thermoforming injection molding and blowmolding technologies• Knowledge of Decoration technologies and its impact on the value drivers• Understanding of cost structures in Packaging• Ability to work with diverse people/functions across geographies.• Good communications and Influencing skills.• Good presentation and stakeholder management skills• Ability to lead and manage teams• Experience of Driving large complex Programs• Ability to travel approximately 30%
