The Entry Writer will be responsible for preparing and processing documentation for customs clearance. This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of compliance regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively with government agencies, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit customs entries for import shipments
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agency requirements
• Work with clients, carriers, and brokers to gather necessary documentation
• Classify goods according to the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
• Maintain accurate and timely records in the company’s system
• Communicate with Customs and other federal agencies as required
• Assist with billing and file management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with U.S. Customs regulations and entry writing preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CargoWise a plus
• CCS Certification a plus
