Position OverviewThe Night Shift Industrial Maintenance Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient production environment by performing maintenance and repair tasks on industrial machinery in a high-paced manufacturing setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues, ensuring timely completion of all assigned work orders.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams and departments to support production goals.
  • Use precision instruments (e.g., multimeters, calipers) and follow technical schematics to ensure accurate repairs and adjustments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, replacing components like motors, pumps, sensors, and control units to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Install and service equipment components to support seamless production processes.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules, technical manuals, and procedural guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams to coordinate tasks and reduce downtime.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
  • Strong communication skills, using various methods regularly.
  • Familiarity with notebook computers and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of plastic molding or extrusion processes is a plus but not mandatory.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, or walk for extended periods, with regular use of hand motor coordination.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in hot or confined environments.
  • Navigate multi-level facilities, including stairways, to access work areas.
  • Exposure to operational machinery hazards in a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Expertise in electrical systems, including high- and low-voltage wiring (e.g., 120/208, 120/240, 277/480).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Ownership of a personal set of standard maintenance tools.
  • Reliable attendance and a consistent work ethic.

Education and Background

  • Technical certification, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
