About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of custom machinery and automation solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will design, test, and implement electrical systems while collaborating with end users, vendors, and manufacturing teams. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of PLC/PMC systems, and the ability to work independently on complex projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement electrical systems for machinery and automation projects

• Program and troubleshoot PLC/PMC systems (Fanuc preferred)

• Utilize electrical troubleshooting skills and diagnostic tools, including volt/current meters with low voltage DC and 120/240/460 VAC systems

• Apply knowledge of programming architecture and debugging techniques to resolve issues

• Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet operational needs

• Update and maintain technical documents, specifications, and project records

• Work independently to manage projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards

• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and end users through clear written and oral communication

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Experience with PLC/PMC systems; Fanuc strongly preferred

• AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred, but not required

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with low voltage DC and AC systems up to 460 VAC

• Understanding of programming architecture and debugging processes

• Proven ability to gather and translate user requirements into practical solutions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
