Paint Technician

Are you a skilled Paint Technician with a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail? We're looking for an experienced professional to play a key role in preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle chassis, modules, and other components. If you have a solid background in automotive painting and are ready to contribute to a high-quality finish, we want to hear from you.

Summary of Responsibilities

As a Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for the entire painting process, from preparation to final inspection. Your duties will include:

Vehicle Preparation: Sanding and masking vehicle modules, chassis, and other assembly parts.
Paint Application: Performing high-quality automotive painting on vehicle chassis, modules, cabinets, and small parts.
Coating Application: Applying interior and exterior grade linings, including high-quality coating applications.
Color Creation & Mixing: Creating and mixing paint colors, with a specific focus on color matching to "Gatorhyde."
Stripe Application: Assembling and applying stripe layouts according to established prints, layout designs, or by creating new ones.
Quality Control: Verifying and inspecting the final finish to ensure it meets our high standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing repairs and maintenance on Graco machines. You will also coordinate with management and purchasing to order necessary parts.
Team Training: Working directly with operators to train them on paint equipment use and demonstrate minor maintenance fixes.
Work Interpretation: Comprehending work orders, receiving and interpreting instructions and prints, and planning procedures, tooling, and material requirements for each job.

Technical Skills & Competencies

High school diploma.
2+ years of prior experience in automotive painting.
Proven experience working with AXALTA paints.
Experience with multi-color painting applications and applying coatings.
Proficiency with formula mixing and color blending.
Experience with bodywork, sanding, masking, and using hand/air tools and tape measures.

This is a local position. We are seeking candidates who are commutable to our location and do not require relocation assistance.
