Compliance Engineer - Quality & Environmental Systems (4x10 Shift)

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, etc.) is required, along with 2+ years of experience in a regulated or environmental compliance setting
  • This role offers a desirable 4x10 (4-day) shift schedule
  • Pay is up to $56,000 for a highly qualified candidate
  • The weekly work schedule is four days per week (Monday-Thursday), with ten-hour shifts (5:00 am - 3:00 pm, with some flexibility)
  • Friday/Saturday availability is needed as production dictates
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote as this is a 100% onsite position

This full-time, permanent Compliance Engineer - Quality & Environmental Systems (4x10 Shift) opening on first shift is at an established manufacturer undergoing a major culture transformation to create a highly welcoming and supportive work environment. The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Ensure products and processes adhere to EU regulations (primarily REACH), specifically concerning Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs)
  • Determine if products exceed the 0.1% w/w threshold for SVHCs, gathering necessary chemical information from procurement and the supply chain
  • Conduct or coordinate laboratory testing to confirm material composition and maintain a database of compliance data gathered from vendors
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, update Safety Data Sheets (SDS), technical files, and declarations of conformity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement environmental compliance for new accessory partners and develop risk management strategies for SVHC replacement/phase-out

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in a regulated environment or compliance engineering
  • Knowledge of global environmental regulations, including REACH, SVHC, RoHS, TSCA, and Prop 65
  • Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Substances (BOS) review to identify potential risks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience presenting technical information
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
