Summary of PositionThe Networking Specialist role is vital in ensuring the network of our clients' partners is setup to provide a fast and stable environment for our solutions and peripherals. As a networking specialist, you willwork aside an onboarding specialist to ensure wiring, access points and configuration of a new client's network is complete prior to going live with their Alpha solution. Additionally, the networking specialist will work alongside our support representatives to assist in resolving networking issues for current clients.
 
The “Roll”:● Test and diagnose a variety of network configurations, determine areas of improvement.● Run network cable in a commercial environment.● Install and configure access points (Ubiquiti)● Install and configure all point-of-sale software and hardware at various customer locations.● Communicate updates, timelines, and necessary information to customers during all aspects of onboarding and installing.● Keep up-to-date with new Focus features/fixes and enhancements.● Maintain a support-level understanding of all POS hardware required to meet a customer’s specific needs.● Learn and stay on top of the latest POS market trends.● Learn and be able to clearly and concisely communicate the Alpha value proposition to enable the effective communication of that message to our clients.
 
The Right Ingredients:● Be considered a “power user” related to the Windows operating system.● Be conversant with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, and SMTP, among others.● Ability to quickly learn new technology, including both hardware and software.● Adept at navigating mobile devices (iPhone, Android, etc) for the purposes of corporate communication but also customer demonstrations.● Self-motivated, independent, and reliable worker – no handholding required!● The right candidate needs to have a “do what it takes” approach to success – a true startup mindset.● Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, or similar solutions.● A mindset centered around long-term learning of specific product/service features and troubleshooting.
 
Preferred Experience:● 1+ years in front of house restaurant operations● 2+ years in a technical support services or related field.● 2+ years of restaurant point-of-sale experience
