Job Title: Sheetfed Pressman

Job Summary:

Nahan is seeking a skilled Sheetfed Pressman to join our state-of-the-art printing facility. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of sheetfed offset printing presses to produce high-quality print materials according to customer specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain high-speed sheetfed presses (e.g., Heidelberg XL, Komori Lithrone) with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Perform press setups, plate mounting, color matching, and registration adjustments to meet job specifications.

  • Monitor press runs to ensure consistent quality and troubleshoot issues such as ink density, misfeeds, or paper jams.

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

  • Collaborate with the press crew and production staff to meet tight schedules and client deadlines.

  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.

  • Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized press area.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in printing technology preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating multi-color sheetfed offset presses in a commercial or packaging environment.

  • Proficient in color theory, pressroom chemistry, and press operations.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, proofs, and production specifications.

  • Experience with print quality control systems and measurement tools (e.g., densitometers, spectrophotometers).

  • Certifications such as G7 or Six Sigma are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, high-production manufacturing environment.

  • Requires standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motion throughout shifts.

  • Exposure to ink, solvents, and pressroom noise.

  • Shift work may be required, including nights or weekends depending on production demands.
