Our client, a growing Chemical Manufacturer, is looking for a detail-oriented Analytical Lab Technician to support a variety of laboratory and administrative tasks related to raw material and finished product testing. The ideal candidate will contribute to method development, routine analysis, and quality investigations, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytical Laboratory Duties:

  • Perform analytical testing on raw materials and finished products using HPLC and titration methods.
  • Analyze test data and generate accurate reports.
  • Support the development and validation of new HPLC methods using USP monographs.
  • Conduct heavy metal analysis using ICP-OES.
  • Perform additional tests such as Loss on Drying and % moisture.
  • Provide backup support for tests including bulk density, FTIR, particle size, and microbial testing using Biolumix.
  • Assist in customer complaint investigations alongside QC/QA by providing technical insights.
  • Support and coordinate equipment calibration schedules, particularly for the Microbial Lab.
  • Participate in real-time stability studies on products.
  • Provide backup support for sample intake, sample requests, Certificates of Analysis, and batch record reviews.
  • Perform other lab-related duties as assigned.

Specific Technical Skills:

  • Sample and solution preparation (including acids, bases, and other reagents).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry (preferred), Pharmacy, Biology, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GMP and QA/QC practices, especially in the food or nutraceutical industries, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with raw materials used in nutraceutical and natural product chemistry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database software; strong mathematical and data interpretation skills.
  • Understanding of unit operations commonly used in chemical processing.
  • Experience with a range of analytical techniques used to characterize chemical materials.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities related to chemical processing and analysis.
  • Must be organized, capable of multitasking, and able to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • A self-starter with creativity, resourcefulness, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
