Leading tier I automotive supplier is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to work in their process oriented finance and accounting team.  As the Sr. Financial Analyst, you will report to a Sr. Manager, who has been with the company for 25 years, and will work closely with site managers.  Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
 
  • Generate and analyze monthly P&L reports across various business segments to provide actionable insights.
  • Present and discuss monthly financial performance and analysis with site leadership and relevant stakeholders, facilitating understanding and action.
  • Manage the efficient upload of financial data (budget, forecast, actuals) into the accounting system, ensuring data integrity.
  • Work closely with site and department managers to investigate and explain monthly financial variances, identifying underlying causes.
  • Develop and present forward-looking monthly forecasts, including key financial statements and performance indicators.
  • Lead the end-to-end budget development process, collaborating with various teams to achieve financial targets and delivering consolidated budget reports.
  • Support the sales function by providing crucial financial data and ad-hoc analysis for price-up negotiations, safeguarding profitability.
  • Partner in the new product introduction process by supplying relevant financial information and analysis for accurate quotations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful launch of the new consolidated accounting system.
  • Act as a finance business partner for site management, providing expert guidance to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Contribute flexibly to the team's objectives by handling other tasks as required.
 
This is a heavy analysis based position that will require qualified candidates to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, be team oriented, consultative and able to work in fast-paced environments.  Candidates will need to be able to work in an open office environment with up to five or six others.  The company offers EXCELLENT medical benefits (including dental and vision) available the first of the month after 30 days worked, short-term and long-term disability, 401K match, paid holidays and vacation, tuition reimbursement, life and wellness plan and BONUS potential! REQUIREMENTS for the Sr. Financial Analyst:1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance  2. Minimum of three years of experience functioning in a similar financial analyst or cost analyst role in a manufacturing environment 
3. Experience with budgeting and forecasting 
4. General knowledge of cost accounting analysis 5. Strong financial analysis skills 
6. Financial reporting 7. Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables and Vlookups Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Automotive supplier experience 2. ERP experience 3. CapEx accounting analysis 
4. P&L 
5. Working knowledge of IFRS
