Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Tool Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Machinist/Tool Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
Must now how to use/read mics and calipers
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.
Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
Cut, shape and form metal parts using manual drill press, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders and mallets.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
Ability to operate one or more machines to produce parts as directed
Great verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Knowledge of metal properties and other material
Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
