Position OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Technical Designer / Technical Designer to become part of our Product Development team. This position is well-suited for candidates with 1–4 years of hands-on technical design experience who want to build their expertise in garment construction, fit analysis, and product execution. The person in this role will collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, and Production to make sure each style achieves the intended look, meets construction standards, and delivers the right fit.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the technical design process from the first prototype through final production.

  • Develop and maintain precise grade rules, technical sketches, and construction details.

  • Attend fittings, record notes, relay corrections, and update tech packs as needed.

  • Evaluate garment samples to confirm workmanship, construction, and fit align with brand expectations.

  • Take measurements of samples and manage comments according to development deadlines.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Design, Sourcing, Vendors, and QA—to resolve fit and construction concerns.

  • Help organize and update pattern and block libraries.

  • Ensure styles are fully production-ready and released on time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related area (or equivalent professional experience).

  • 1–4 years of experience in men’s technical design.

  • Solid understanding of garment construction, patterns, and grading is required.

  • Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Excel.

  • Background working with Costco, Sam’s Club, or BJ’s is a plus.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail with an excellent sense of fit, proportion, and quality.

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
