Are you passionate about leading civil design on large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects? Do you enjoy being hands-on with design, directly engaging with clients, and participating in marketing initiatives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you in College Station, Texas!

Join our dynamic team, where you’ll lead the design of civil site work for large, complex water and wastewater treatment projects. You will be involved in site layouts, yard piping design, terrain modeling, stormwater calculations, and coordination with various disciplines. Occasionally, you may travel for site assessments or provide construction support. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and guide team members, sharing your knowledge and experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop civil site designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Design complex yard piping systems and coordinate with other utilities
  • Plan site paving, access, fencing, and other infrastructure for treatment facilities
  • Create grading and stormwater drainage plans, including pre and post terrain modeling
  • Prepare calculations for stormwater detention and conveyance designs
  • Coordinate floodplain permits and determine base flood elevations
  • Oversee the development of Civil 3D drawings
  • Collaborate with surveyors and geotechnical subconsultants
  • Provide support for construction projects
  • Assist in managing a design team, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 10+ years of civil site design experience
  • Strong knowledge of piping materials, flow characteristics, and bedding requirements
  • Expertise in grading and drainage design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software

Bonus points if you bring:

  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Experience with stormwater conveyance software, including HEC-RAS/HMS
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (process, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control disciplines)
  • Active participation in local professional organizations
